What is rope access?
Rope access or industrial climbing is a form or work positioning, initially developed from techniques used in climbing and caving, which applies practical rope work to allow workers to access difficult to reach locations without the use of scaffolding, cradles or an Ariel work platform.Rope access technicians descend, ascend and traverse ropes for access and work while suspended by their harness.
The support of the rope is intended to eliminate the likelihood of a fall altogether, but back up fall arrest system is used incase of the unlikely failure of the primary means of support.
All our technicians are IRATA level qualified. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.
